Mahendra engineering college for Women is established by the Mahendra Educational Trust under the visionary leadership of renowned educationalist Shri.M.G.Bharathkumar, who is the Chairman of the Trust and a well-known Philanthropist in this region.

Realizing the importance of technical education for women, Mahendra Educational Trust started its first college exclusively for women, Mahendra engineering college for Women in 2008, at Kumaramangalam in Tiruchengode, Namakkal District. The college is an AICTE-approved institution, affiliated with Anna University Coimbatore, and offers four undergraduate programs in the field of Engineering and Technology.

A digital library with 20000 foreign and Indian books covering 7000 titles and 70 national and international journals and periodicals, vernacular, English, and business dailies upgrades the knowledge of the students for extensive reading. The library also paves way for the online libraries using the internet to download the latest information on technical, technological, and scientific developments. Each department has its own library racked with concerned subject reference books, textbooks, and journals.

Hostel

Mahendra Engineering College for Women has a well-furnished hostel for girls. The hostel is facilitated with single, and double beds and dormitories, hot and cold purified drinking water, 24-hour power backup, communication and entertainment, indoor games like Chess, Carom and modern Gym, outdoor games such as cricket, volleyball, a common reading room, dining hall, and medical facilities. The mess is functioning on a dividing system. Nutritious and Hygienic food is provided on the basis of students’ needs.

Sports

Mahendra Engineering College for Women encourages the spirit of sports personnel and conducts college-level and state-level matches. Indoor and outdoor games are valued. Spacious volleyball and cricket grounds and the kits make the students play enthusiastically.

Transport

The college has its own buses to help the students to reach college from places like Salem, Attur, Kannankurichi, Pappirettipatti, Junction, Tharamangalam, etc. The buses ply to a radial distance of 80 km. to get the students into college in time.

Mahendra Educational Trust has 150 buses; all the buses are used in accordance with the need and facilities of the students.

This service is provided throughout the normal course of study by instructors and the Training and Placement Cell Coordinator.
